Mt Hood Ski Trip

Ashley and Brandon on the ski run taking a break to check out the awesome view of Mt Hood.
If you look close you can see the blue glacier snow that gives us year round skiing.

Ashley and Brandon getting in some practice runs on the newbie hill before heading up the chairlift.

We skied the Lower Bowl most of the day.
Here is a shot looking up at Lower Bowl.

The kids had lessons once again today. Ashley got lucky and had a private lesson because the second person in her class wandered off. Good thing he was and adult. If you look at the picture above you can see the overhead view of the trail map. Ashley's instructor brought her all the way to the top of the mountain. I don't think she knew what she was in for. She did great and only crashed once with Mike. She did a faceplant on her last run, but got right up and continued skiing.

Brandon's wasn't as lucky with his lessons. He had a large group of beginners in his class and they didn't get to do as much fun stuff. He made up for it after lunch with Mike and Ashley. He did excellent as well. He did have a pretty good crash coming down one of the runs and went head over heels. Good thing for helmets!

  1. Looks like fun! I can't wait for our girls to be old enough to do that kinda stuff. Greg and Kylee are probably going to go this year....he bought her a snowboard.....we'll see how that goes!
